My name is Dóra Björg and I‘m 18 years old. I live with my parents in a small town in Iceland called Höfn which is located on the south-east coast of the country. My mom, Ester, is a nurse and my dad, Björn, is a teacher at the primary school here in Höfn. I have two older siblings that both live and study in Reykjavík, their names are Eva, who is 25 years old and Sigfinnur who is 22 years old. My sister is studying biomedicine and my brother is studying sociology and journalism.
During the summer I work in the kitchen at Hótel Höfn and I try to travel and hang out with my friends as much as I can. In the winter I go to school, work and practice volleyball. I love all kinds of sports especially volleyball, football and snowboarding. In the winter time I go skiing with my family in my mother’s hometown, Seyðisfjörður. I also love acting and singing and I have been participating in musicals and plays since I was 13 years old.
I go to FAS where I study natural science and I will graduate in spring 2014. After that I‘m planning on going to Denmark and study or maybe travel a bit around the world.
